Other programs are underway or being researched to help ensure the continued proper handling and use of RCFs. These programs include waste minimization, waste handling and recycling.

Although RCFs are not a hazardous waste under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), nor are there currently any special handling requirements under the Clean Air Act (CAA), RCF Coalition members remain committed to programs that help ensure proper handling and use of ceramic fiber materials.
